The body colour is dark yellow or orange , with very small opaque white irregularly scattered dots.The rhinophores are dark yellow to orange in colour, and the gills are very large and also dark yellow to orange in colour.
Doriopsilla albopunctata feeds exclusively on sponges (Cliona celata). This nudibranch has direct development, juveniles hatch directly from eggs
Similar to Doriopsilla albopunctata , Doriopsilla davebehrensi, Doriopsilla fulva , Doriopsilla gemela and Baptodoris mimetica.
