Doto lemchei Ortea & Urgorri, 1978

Doto lemchei was first described from Galicia, Spain. It was subsequently reported from Britain,Ireland and Spain.

This dendronotid nudibranch is olive brown in colour with no dark spots on the ceratal tubercles. The tips of the tubercles appear pale or white due to white, internal, glandular cells. Has 4-6 pairs of cerata. Lack of pigment spots on the tubercles. Brown hue to skin and pale brown pigment on the head and body.

Doto lemchei feeds exclusively on the hydroid Aglaophenia tuberculata, family Aglaopheniidae. Its found only on Aglaophenia tubulifera.
