Golfingia vulgaris (de Blainville, 1827)

Golfingia vulgaris has an unsegmented body (like all sipunculid worms) and grows up to 20 cm in length.The colour is very variable .It can be grey, whitish or yellowish brown.This Peanut Worm lives in muddy sand or gravel from shallow water to depths of several hundred metres.With tentacles around the mouth the Peanut Worm catch Dedritus and small planctonic animals.

Golfingia vulgaris has a widespread distribution around the world.
