Berthelinia chloris is a member of the gastropod family Juliidae, whose species differ from other gastropods by having a bivalve shell.

As sacoglossans these small animals feed on the green alga Caulerpa.Berthelinia schlumbergeri is a tiny well camouflaged slug.
