Peltodoris lentiginosa (Millen, 1982)
Peltodoris lentiginosa is a large dorid nudibranch. The dorsum is covered with tubercles which contain spicules, giving the dorsum a gritty texture. The body colour: nearly translucent white to pale yellow, with numerous irregularly spaced brown blotches.
The large size of 18 cm and numerous large blotches make this dorid distinctive.
Feed on the reef-forming sponges Aphrocallistes vastus and Heterochone calyx, as well as of the demosponge Desmacella austini, which encrusts skeletons of the glass sponges.
