Sea Chubs belong to the family „Kyphosidae“ in the order Perciformes. They are compressed, oval shaped, omnivorous fishes with small teeth which feed on benthic algae, plankton and small invertebrates. A group ogf schooling fishes mostly found in tropical waters of the Indian and western Pacific oceans; two species are known of the western Atlantic.
