Maoricolpus roseus (Quoy & Gaimard, 1834)

Maoricolpus roseus is a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Turritellidae. This snail have a large brown screw shell with a pointed tip.

Turritellidae, common name the "tower shells" or "tower snails", is a taxonomic family of small to medium-sized sea snails. These snails burrow into mud or sand. The foot is relatively small.
