Besitze seit etwa einem halben Jahr 2,1 Tiere. Weibchen war ein Glücksfall, da meist nur Männchen im Handel zu finden sind. Die Tiere fressen sämtliches angebotene Frostfutter (Artemia, Mysis, rote/weiße/schwarze Mückenlarven, Cyclops, Bosmiden), Norialgenstücke und Flockenfutter. Ich füttere mehrmals am Tag. Das dominante Männchen balzt regelmäßig vor dem Weibchen, indem es wiederholt mit gespreizten Flossen schnell an dem Weibchen vorbeischwimmt und dabei Prachtfärbung zeigt. Es jagt ab und an das kleinere Männchen, ohne es stark zu unterdrücken. Das ebenfalls im Becken schwimmende 1,0 Cirrhilabrus filamentosus verfolgt ab und zu das kleinere P. flaviannalis-Männchen und das Weibchen.
