Spirobranchus tetraceros occurs in the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, and was recorded in 2020 on the coasts of Brazil in the Western Atlantic.

Spirobranchus tetraceros occurs in the intertidal habitat on rocky shores, under rocks.

Its tube is opaque, white or pink in color.

Crown: Living specimens show alternating bands of iridescent white, yellow, brown, pink and orange.

Operculum: Continuous with the stalk, operculum circular to oval in plan view, calcareous end and end plate mostly white or beige.
