Alexandrella haubeni is a small deep-sea amphipod from the Clarion-Clipperton Zone in the northeastern Pacific, collected during the voyage of the R/V Thomas G. Thompson at a depth of over 4,000 meters. Clarion-Clipperton Zone (CCZ), also known as the Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone
The collected specimen is a male ♂.
Alexandrella haubeni bears the closest resemblance to Alexandrella subchelata Holman & Watling, 1983, and Alexandrella setosa Serejo, 2014.
Etymology.
Named after Lawrence Hauben, who illustrated amphipods from the northeastern Pacific off the coast of California for Jerry Barnard in the 1960s.
