Bullina oblonga G. B. Sowerby III, 1897
Bullina oblonga is a small sea snail in the family Aplustridae, commonly known as paper bubble snails. Members of the family have a thin, bubble-shaped shell.
The type locality for the description of Bullina oblonga is KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Empty shells of this small bubble snail occasionally wash up on beaches within its range.
The species name “oblonga” means “oblong” or “elongated” (derived from the Latin oblongus).
Bullina oblonga is a rather rare bubble snail. It has an almost white shell marked with numerous fine, reddish-brown spiral bands that end at the columella.
Although these bubble-shelled snails are very small, they are predators that feed on worms.
