A small crab that lives at the base of sea anemones. Lissocarcinus laevis, the Harlequin Crab, has a reddish shell covered with large white blotches. Its legs are semi-transparent whiteand its eyes are white.
Lissocarcinus laevisis commonly referred to as Swimmer Crab, Harlequin Crab, Harlequin Swimming Crab, Anemone Crab. Difficulty in the aquarium: There are no reports available yet that this animal has already been kept in captivity successfully. A aquarium size of at least 100 Liter is recommended. Toxicity: Toxic hazard unknown.
