Husbandry

Turbo petholatus Linnaeus, 1758

Turbo petholatus is a turban snail. It grows up to a maximum of 8.5 cm.The color is very variable, the inside is made of nacre.

Turbo petholatus lives in depths up to 40 m in the tropical Indo-Pacific, East Africa and the Red Sea.

It is one of the most beautiful snails from their family. The cases are due to its beauty shell making jewelry (Opercula - "Cat's Eye").
