Favorinus japonicus changes his colour as the colour of its food (greenish,pink or white).This species eats Hexabranchus and Aplysia spawn. Cerata are pink,green, white or yellow from the pigments of the egg food.

Rhinophores with two or three spherical swellings.

Favorinus japonicus is a common species, that lives primarily nocturnal.
