Mnestia girardi (Audouin, 1826)

Mnestia girardi has a thick cylindrical shell with brown spiral bands. The shell is translucent gray with white and brown patches.The pattern is variable.

Ventomnestia girardi can be found in mixed habitats and in Halimeda kanaloana beds. This species is nocturnal and burying itself in sand during the day.Bubble-shells are often only known from their shells.Photos of the living animals are seldom.Ventomnestia girardi feeds on green algae.
