Info

Rosenblatt & Stephens, 1978

The Tufted blenny inhabits mollusk and worm tubes on near-vertical rock faces.
The blenny feed on zooplankton, including copepods, amphipods and ostracods in a depth range from 1 to 30 meters.

Very special thanks for the first photo of Mccoskerichthys sandae to Dr. Gerry R. Allen, he has taken the photo at Panama.

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!
