Labidiaster annulatus Sladen, 1889
Labidiaster annulatus grows up to 60 cm. This sea star have 40 to 45 long narrow arms. The central disc is slightly inflated.
Labidiaster annulatus can be found from the intertidal zone down to 554 metres (most commonly 30 and 400 m).This starfish lives on sandy,muddy bottom , on gravel and among rocks.
This coldwater starfish feeds invertebrates, including Krill,amphipods, small fishes (6 cm), brittle stars,sediment with microflora,foraminiferans). Krill and amphipods were the most frequent diet.
