Roundheads belong to the family „Plesiopidae“ which contains 11 genera and 38 species. These family of fishes are widly distributed to the Indo-West Pacific. These are fishes in generally with large mouths and large eyes; feed on small crustaceans and fishes. Maximum length about 20 cm. Two subfamilies, Plesiopinae and Acanthoclininae.
