Info

Jetties and piers can provide the foundation for a significant artificial reef habitat.

The pylons support a diverse community of flora and fauna, the structure of which varies according to depth.

The soft coral has orange branching stems that grow up to 1.5cm tall and have many flower-like polyps.

The polyps are bright white and can cover the stalks when they are spread out.
The stems may be covered by an orange-colored sponge.
Telesto multiflora is a filter feeder, the polyps are often stretched out in daylight.

We have no reports of it being kept in marine aquaria.

Synonym: Carijoa multiflora (Laackman, 1909) - unaccepted (changed combination)
