Acanthemblemaria maria, known commonly as the Secretary blenny in the Bahamas, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the United States, is a species of chaenopsid blenny in the genus Acanthemblemaria. It is found in coral reefs from the Bahamas to Tobago, in the western central Atlantic ocean. and can reach a maximum length of 5.1 centimetres.
The Secretary blenny inhabits limestone slopes rather than patch reefs; these slopes usually dotted with small brain corals, stinging coral, sea fans, whips, and sea urchins.
