Info

Trimma hamartium ( Winterbottom, 2017)
Mistaken pygmygoby

Found in areas with heavy cover of hard corals (Acropora, Pocillopora, Millepora, plate corals, lettuce corals star and cactus corals), variety of sponges, sea whips, ascidians, alcyonarians, tunicates, hydoids (in caves), soft corals, gorgonians, brown encrusting algae; and also on steep reef slopes and almost vertical walls with several large caves with sand/rubble floors, undercuts and small platforms

Jumping guard
A jumping guard prevents (nocturnal) fish from jumping out.
Wrasses, blennies, hawkfishs and gobies jump out of an unprotected tank in fright if their night rest is disturbed, unfortunately these jumpers are found dried up in the morning on carpets, glass edges or later behind the tank.

A small night light also helps, as it provides the fish with a means of orientation in the dark!
