Info
Plectorhinchus chrysotaenia prefers sheltered reefs and spends the day either alone or in large, inactive aggregations.
Activity occurs at nightfall.
Plectorhinchus chrysotaenia has a bright silver-blue, reflective body with narrow yellow stripes from snout to tail, often with broken and dotted lines in between, and bright yellow fins.
The yellow lines are narrower than in young Plectorhinchus flavomaculatus and less dense and spotted than in Plectorhinchus multivittatus, which are found in northern and western Australia.
