Info
Plectorhinchus diagrammus looks very similar to Plectorhinchus lessonii (Cuvier, 1830), and both species have partially overlapping distribution areas.
Divers in particular have to look very closely underwater to be able to tell the difference.
Plectorhinchus diagrammus is available for purchase in various specialist stores, but we do not recommend keeping sweetlips in aquariums.
On the one hand, sweetlips need a lot of swimming space, and on the other hand, the fish hunt for prey at night and various other inhabitants of saltwater tanks are on Plectorhinchus diagrammus's menu.
