Husbandry

“From Veron, J.E.N. Corals of the World.”
Hoffmeister, 1925

Description: Colonies are composites of encrusting laminae and contorted anastomosing branches. Corallites are separated into groups by ridges.
Color: Pale brown with cream extremities of branches and plates. Sometimes brightly coloured in shallow water.
Habitat: Shallow reef environments.
Abundance: Sometimes common.
Similar Species: Laminar parts of colonies resemble those of Porites vaughani. Branching parts of colonies may have corallites arranged in a P. rus-like pattern. Calice characters are closest to P. eridani.
