Alpheus socialis Heller, 1862

The colour of this snapping shrimp is mostly pale green, but they can be orange-red or pink. This snapping shrimp can be found under bolders, low tidal on muddy shores, but can be found to 600m depth.

This species is primarily a scavenger.
