Husbandry

Acropora spicifera
Dana, 1846

Characters:

Colonies are wide, flat, tiered plates and tables which commonly have lobed margins. Branches are outward projecting at the colony margins, but curved, tapered, and upward projecting elsewhere. Axial corallites are distinctive, radial corallites are immersed and have a rosette arrangement.

Von dieser Acropora gibt es auch eine blaue Farbvariante die aber deutlich schwerer zu halten ist als die Grüne . Ich habe die Grüne ca. zwei Jahre unter 250 W. HQI fast direkt unter der Wasseroberfläche gehalten , das bekam ihr nicht so gut . Die Platzierung im Mittellichtbereich scheint ihr deutlich besser zu gefallen , denn sie bildet jetzt längere Äste aus und wächst nicht mehr so in die Breite ( Laminar ) . Ich würde sie , von der blauen Variante mal abgesehen , eher zu den einfacheren SPS - Korallen einstufen .
