Info

Pseudanthias marcia Randall & Hoover, 1993

According to Rudie Kuiter's book “Basslets - Hamlets and their relatives”, Pseudanhtias marcia only occurs in / around Oman and a very similar species around the Maldives. Nevertheless, these fish do appear in the trade from time to time.

The coloration of Pseudanthias marcia is quite characteristic, rather pink at the front and yellow at the back, without a sharp and directly visible transition. In addition, the caudal fin is only extended at the top, making them a typical flag perch in terms of behavior, i.e. they are kept in groups.
