Husbandry

Kuiter & Randall, 1995

The Pale wrasse is found in steep outer reef slopes from 37 to at least 74 meters depth, with large caves and rich invertebrate growth.

Halichoeres pallidus occurs in small groups of females and dominating males.

The pale wrasse is replaced by Halichoeres trispilus in the Indian Ocean.
